20 Week Update

We had our 20 week ultrasound last week. Our baby is sooo cute already! Maybe I'm a little biased, but seriously look at that profile! 

How far along: 20 weeks and a few days. Our baby is now 10 1/4 in long (26 cm) and weighs close to 3/4 lbs (350 g). Eye brows and eyelashes are now nearly fully grown! Our baby starts to have wake and sleep cycles.

Total weight gain: Two weeks ago at our last doc appointment, I was up 10 pounds, and I should be gaining about a lb a week now, so I'm guessing up 12 lbs.

Maternity clothes: More and more. A maternity dress that I've been eyeing at Target went on clearance! My mom got me some more jeans and a dress when they were up visiting. Shirts are getting a little too short, but I'm still making it work :)

Stretch marks: Nope! Been moisturizing the belly everyday, so fingers crossed I don't get any.

Sleep: Better lately. I'm trying to relax and just sleep however I'm comfortable, instead of worrying about staying off my back, etc 

Best moment of this week: My parent's spent Memorial Day weekend in Portland re-doing our front yard. Matt and my dad did all the work while my mom and I shopped for baby things and maternity clothes :)

We hosted a going-away dinner for our good friends Nick and Lauren. They moved to San Diego this week :( We'll miss you guys! Julianne and Walker came into town for the weekend - it was so great to see them! Hope you guys had fun!!

Miss anything: Not really!

Movement: Yes! I thought I may be feeling the baby kick over the last week or so, but today was the first day that it was really consistent and I could feel it from the outside. Even my coworker got to feel it! Too bad baby has been calm this evening so Matt didn't get a chance to feel yet, but I'm sure it will happen soon.

Food cravings: Nope! Just trying to eat as healthy as possible and not use pregnancy as an excuse to eat junk food...much easier said than done!

Anything making you queasy or sick: nope!

Have you started to show yet: Yes! The belly definitely "popped" since my week 18 post. Strangers have started commenting, which still catches me off guard.

Boy or Girl: It's going to be a surprise! Unless it's super obvious on our next ultrasound ;)

Baby gear: More gifts! Grandma Amy bought 3 adorable sleepers and a warm hat for baby and Julianne made this cute onesie! Mon petit chou is a term of endearment in French... direct translation is "my little cabbage" Hehe

Labor signs: Nope! Have had a couple Braxton hicks but only a few and only in the night.

Belly button in or out: Popping out more quickly than I like!

Wedding rings on or off: On and I hope it stays that way

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty happy! I've had a couple small breakdowns, but overall happy.

Looking forward to: Summer! It's hot this week and our busy summer plans start off with my brother's college graduation, weekend after next. My mamy came all the way from France for it so I'm soooo looking forward to seeing her! Then a weekend in the desert with Matt's family for our new niece, Mya's, baby blessing! Lots to look forward to!
