How far along: 18 weeks. According to my app, our baby is now the length of a large bell pepper and weighs 81/2 oz (250g). Baby's brain is starting to develop rapidly!
Total weight gain: Last doc appointment (at 14 weeks) I was up 4.5 pounds, but I'm sure I've gained a bunch more. I'll update after my 18 week doc appointment next week.
Maternity clothes: Pants for sure...cannot fit into any of my old ones. So it's maternity jeans, stretch pants, and stretchy skirts everyday. Shirts still fitting fine.
Stretch marks: Nope! Hoping it stays that way...
Sleep: Not great, mostly disturbed by crazy vivid dreams and having to get up to pee
Best moment of this week: Spending Mother's Day with my mom and grandma and finding a surprise Mother's Day card from Matt :) He's the best!
Miss anything: Grabbing anything out of the closet and having it fit! Missing morning tea and occasional glass of wine, but so worth giving that up :)
Movement: None yet. Hoping to feel it in the next couple weeks!
Food cravings: Not craving fruit and sweets like I was during the 1st trimester, but still have more of a sweet tooth than before I was pregnant.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope!
Have you started to show yet: Yes!
Boy or Girl: We have our 20 week anatomy scan is a couple weeks, but Matt still doesn't want to know the sex so it's going to be a surprise, for now ;)
Baby gear: We haven't boughten anything for baby yet, but have received some sweet gifts. We have swaddle cloths and a cuddle blanket, white noise machine and tiny hand-knit sweater that my dad wore as a baby!

Labor signs: No way!
Belly button in or out: Already on its way out haha
Wedding rings on or off: On and I hope it stays that way
Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty happy! Moments of irritability but not bad at all
Looking forward to: Doc appointment on Tuesday... excited to hear the heartbeat again and see how much I've gained. Parents coming into town for Memorial Day weekend and Mumford and Sons concert!
Can't believe Daddy and I made it to the looking forward to section. We are the luckiest. Much love to the four of you. Mom and Dad
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad you're posting for the rest of us. You look great. And I'm a bit jealous about your lack of quesiness. So happy for you guys!
ReplyDeleteYea! A pregnancy blog! How wonderful-I wish they had this e-stuff when I was pregnant!
ReplyDeleteJust for the record; I never felt more wonderful or lovely as I did when I was carrying a child. And I only felt queasy once or twice which is why I will never eat a bagel with c.c and jam for the rest of my life! Enjoy the day to day changes and the magic of being a female. Love, Auntie Susan and Uncle Rick. PS How fun to see "Grandma Amy" !!!
